q: how do i get into seiōbo?
a: by making an reservation through our online system. we also accept walk-ins based on availbility and space, but it’s not guaranteed you’ll be seated. to ensure a table, it’s best to make a reservation through our website. our reservation site shows a 10 days calendar. we do not accept reservations further than 10 days out, including the current day.

q: why don’t you accept phone reservations?
a:  seiōbo’s reservation system is completely automated. our online reservation system is the most egalitarian way to receive reservations for the limited seats we have.

q: i just made a new account, why can’t i log on?
a: check your email for an account confirmation. then, follow the directions in the email.

q: it’s friday and i’m logged into the system and i seem to not see any reservations available on sundays. what is that?
a: we are closed on sundays, which means, on friday at 10:00am there are no new reservations available. however, cancelled reservations are still available so make sure to log in if you’re interested in a reservation on another day.

q: a loved one has a reservation, and i would like to pre-pay for their meal, drinks. how do i do this?
a:  please contact the seiobo team by emailing sydney[at]momofuku.com. someone will contact you to set up payment.

q: i am stuck somewhere with limited internet access and anticipate not making my reservation; i want to cancel.
a: once you’re in front of a computer, simply follow the cancellation link in your confirmation email. please note: all guests will receive a confirmation phone call with more than 24 hour advance notice.

q: why do we only take reservations for parties of 1, 2, 3 or 4?
a: we only accept parties of 1-4 people through the reservation site.

q: can i change my party size?
a: unfortunately, no. we cannot increase or decrease party sizes because our system is entirely automated. if you would like to change your party size, you must cancel your reservation and make a new one.

q: how many days in the future are available for booking online?
a: our calendar always shows 10 days, including the current day, prior to the day of the reservation. therefore, if you wanted to get a reservation on the 10th you would log on to the site on the 1st at 10:00am, local time (nsw, australia, gmt + 10).

q: what time do the next available day’s reservation times become available?
a: everyday at 10:00am, local time (nsw, australia, gmt + 10), the next available day opens for reservations.

q: does the reservation site ever close?
a: yes. the reservation site is closed from 00:00am to 10:00am, local time (nsw, australia, gmt + 10), every day.

q: how do I know what’s available?
a: green check mark = available, and red “x” = taken.

q: i clicked a green check but didn’t get the reservation, why?
a: reservations are given on a first come basis so you have to click fast. even if you see a green check mark you may not get the seat because someone else may grab it a split second before you.

q: i am going to be late for my reservation. what should i do?
a: if you are going to be late you should call 02 9657 9169.

q: i need to cancel my reservation. what should i do?
a: in order to cancel your reservation you need to click on the cancellation link in your confirmation email and enter your username and password. please note, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance of your seating time and your reservation cannot be filled in our system, or if you do not attend your reservation, there is a cancellation/no show fee of AUD$175 per person for dinner and AUD$100 per person for lunch.

q: what happens to cancellations / is there a waiting list?
a: canceled reservations return to the reservation system. we do not keep a waitlist.

q: can i make a reservation by phone?
a: no, we only take reservations online.

q: i never received my confirmation email. what should i do?
a: check your junk, spam, or bulk e-mail filters.

q: i forgot my password.
a: click on the “forgot password” link on the reservations’ home page.

q: how many reservations can i make per week?
a: we limit reservations to two per week.

q: how do i change my password?
a: log into the system and click on the “change password” link on the lower right.
