paul is from the island of barbados where he grew up cooking with his mom and at sandy lane resort and the cliff restaurant. after graduating from the cia, paul moved to nyc and worked at the tasting room, asiate, alto, aquavit, and wd~50. in 2008, paul moved to puerto rico and become executive chef at perla restaurant. in early 2010, paul returned to nyc to join the má pêche team as sous chef and became executive chef in october 2011.

johnny was born and raised in portland, oregon. after attending culinary school in his home state, johnny took a job at marché in eugene. johnny packed his gear and headed to nyc, where he first took a job at town and then joined the team at del posto under chef mark ladner. in september 2008, he started as a line cook at momofuku ko, and in january 2010, johnny joined tien ho’s team at má pêche as sous chef.

deegan mcclung

born and raised in new orleans, deegan always knew he wanted to be in the restaurant industry. a large part of his childhood was spent in the kitchen where he learned how to make classic creole, cajun and french recipes from his parents and others. deegan has worked in commander’s palace in new orleans, and wink, uchi, and jeffrey’s in austin, tx. he moved to new york in 2011 so that he could live in a city where he would never run out of dining options, be surrounded by like minded restaurant people and work in an environment where he could learn and absorb new techs everyday. deegan started as sous at má pêche in september 2011.

eunsook genardini

eunsook was born and raised in seoul, korea.  in 2004, she moved to nyc and decided to study the culinary arts.  after she graduated, eunsook started to work at alto under chef scott conant, working various stations in the kitchen. after alto, she moved to italian wine merchants and worked with kevin sipple as a sous chef in 2007.  in 2011, she joined the team at má pêche.

michael wetherbee

michael was born in california and raised between there, the philippines and south korea. in 2003, after starting and running an import company out of china, he decided to sell it and follow what he believed to be his true calling: restaurants. since, michael has been a general manager and partner of several restaurants in new york. he is thrilled to join the má pêche team.

drew davis

drew grew up in westchester, ny before heading to boston to go to college and start his career. at menton, he started as a food runner and expeditor before becoming assistant restaurant manager. his role consisted of cheese presentations, staff education, and random acts of hospitality. drew moved back to nyc to be closer to home and to eat and drink anything and everything he could. you’ll probably see him running in central park, reading a cookbook, or traveling too far to find something new and exciting.

oliver kakos

oliver grew up in minnesota eating hot-dish and making maple syrup. he worked at a number of minnesota restaurants before moving to nyc in 2005. oliver helped open brooklyn’s sette, before working at applewood restaurant for five years as waiter and wine buyer. in the fall of 2009 oliver joined the opening crew at má pêche as a waiter, then captain, then in the fall of 2010, manager.

irit grew up in israel and moved to the us in 2002 to attend the culinary institute of america. after graduating she worked in several restaurants in boston under ken oringer and michael schlow. she moved to nyc and joined the momofuku team in october 2010.
