chef kevin pemoulie graduated from trinity college with a degree in theater, and began his career in restaurants as a server. he attended the french culinary institute and worked his way up to a sous chef position at new york’s craft under chef akhtar nawab. he joined momofuku in 2006.

chef scott garfinkel, is a graduate of SUNY buffalo and culinary institute of america. scott began his cooking career under the late great chef jean-louis paladin, at his eponymous restaurant in midtown manhattan. after paladin, scott joined the opening team at Ilo under chef rick laakkonen, scott has also worked at judson grill and barbuto. scott joined the momofuku team at the beginning of 2005.

chef johanna ware is a graduate of the university of oregon. she cooked throughout her college career, and moved to new york city in 2004 to work under chef brad farmerie at public. jo worked her way up to sous-chef and then joined on as a chef de partie at del posto. in 2006 jo joined momofuku as a sous-chef.
