q: what does ko mean?

a: we try and serve delicious american food.

q: what's on the menu?
a: each day we offer a tasting menu based largely on market availability.  we do not offer any a la carte options but we will make accommodations for food allergies.  the price of the menu varies according to it's ingredients.

q: where do your ingredients come from?
a: we use local farms with sustainable practices for as much as possible.

q: are there menu items for vegetarians?
a: we are working on a vegetarian menu and will let you know when it's done.

q: are there desserts available?
a: yes.

q: do you have a corkage fee?
a: yes, $45

q: why are reservations taken at ko?
a: because the menu and style of service are enhanced by set dining times

q: do you do take out orders?
a: no.

q: do you do delivery orders?
a: no.

q: do you do catering?
a: no.

a: there's plenty of parking on the street or in parking garages (click here)

 


q: how do i get in to ko?
a: https://reservations.momofuku.com/ (this is the ONLY way to get a reservation at ko)

q: may i make a reservation for someone else?
a: no.

q: may i purchase a reservation from someone else?
a: no.

q: may i sell my reservation?
a: no.

q: why do you need my credit card information to make an account?
a: we want to identify you as an individual with a unique credit card number associated with a unique email address. this helps protect against reservation scalpers and automated internet spiders that could snap up reservations and then sell what should be free. we want the system to be fair and we figure that just about everyone has a credit card number and an email address. we do not retain your credit card information and we will never charge your card.

q: why do we only take reservations for parties of 1,2 or 4?
a: this is a small restaurant with only bar seating. we cannot accommodate large parties due to space limitations.

q: why doesn't anyone answer the phone?
a: we have a very cool voice mail system that emails your messages to the appropriate person. we'll get your message on our blackberry/email and get back to you asap. promise.

q: i need to cancel my reservation. what should i do?
a: either the "cancel" link you received in your confirmation.

q: what happens to cancellations/is there a waiting list/walkins?
a: cancelled reservations will return to the reservation system.  there is no wait list and no walk ins.

q: can i make a reservation by phone?
a: no. sorry but we only take reservations online.

q: what time do the next available day's reservation times become available?
a: everyday at 10:00am the next available day opens for reservations.

q: i am going to be late for my reservation. what should i do?
a: unfortunately out of respect for the guests coming in after you we can only hold your table for 15 minutes. if you are going to be late you should call (212) 500-0831 and leave a message.

q: how many reservations can i make per week?
a: we limit reservations to two per week.

q: i never received my confirmation email. what should i do?
a: check your junk, spam, or bulk e-mail filters.

q: can i make a reservation for someone else?
a: no, you are only supposed to make reservations for you. we don't want to start cross checking id at the door but we will notice if one person is making reservations for others. if that happens then we'll ask you to stop because that's just not cool.
